Pros

Incredibly warm environment to work in. The children can often be difficult but the staff is awfully helpful when it comes to getting through any problems. For a somewhat entry-level type position the pay is actually very good. The security is pretty good, so there is less worrying about the safety of the children in this dangerous world, and more emphasis being put on the education aspects of the job. As long as you have an understand supervisor there is little worry about work-place related problems.

Cons

Sometimes you deal with tough situations with children but otherwise it's fine.

Advice to Management

None, they did a fantastic job

    Pros

The best reasons to work for this company are the co-workers and management who works on site. Also the children

    Cons

Upper management, people who are considered corporate do not listen to your needs as an employee of the center. The district manager does not know what she's doing and always pawns her work to others. There is no support beyond the center level. Instead of finding a way to help you they just bad mouth you and send you degrading emails. They always avoid confrontations at all cost unless someone threatens to sue. They also make many promises they cannot keep. They also set unattainable goals for you. Favoritism is hight practiced here yet HR doesn't care when you have voiced your concerns. There is no career growth with this company, they rather hire out than within.

    Advice to Management

Learn to be supportive, take responsibility and value your employees.

I have been working at Tutor Time Child Care Learning Center full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Free range to teach the lessons how u want as long as it follows the curriculum, good team spirit amongst the teachers.

    Cons

Management have no idea about teaching, not enough prep time, so much hidden extras. Required to work extra days / hours for free on a regular basis.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your teachers and change, stop worrying about profit and put the education of the children first
