I have been working at Twitch full-time

    Pros

Free food, free drinks, video games, gamers think you're cool if you work here. Massages, activities, purple swag. It's cool if you watch Twitch at your desk. Pretty good salaries. You can do great here if you like to party with your boss. Office is sweet.

    Cons

Some departments run like social cliques and are top heavy with boss' friends even if other employees are more qualified. Not a lot of consideration for how folks lower down can grow professionally within their departments. Your best bet is to move laterally. Some of the grosser parts of gamer culture make it into the office culture. Despite corporate value saying otherwise, some managers just want compliance.

    Advice to Management

Hire and promote based on talent and quality of work. Create paths for professional growth for people who already work here. Make an effort to make office culture more inclusive.
