I have been working at Tyco full-time

    Pros

Flexible workday hours; cafeteria in building; great employee base

    Cons

Toronto Directors are under qualified and seem to prefer political infighting versus actually providing direction. Those deserving of promotions are not given them; those not deserving get promoted. Layoffs of quality people with no explanations.

    Advice to Management

Moral is very low and quality employees continually overlooked for advancements are actively looking to leave. There is little leadership at the top and this is causing Director level infighting for control. Improve top level leadership, wrangle in the rogue Directors and create career advancement opportunities.

I worked at Tyco full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Company car, benifits, 401k and your own tools

    Cons

managment rather hear what the customers have to say and not what techs recomend. no managment visit on jobs to see performance but what believe what customer has to say and when they receive the bill they got the perfect words to say. Managers and office personal do a lot of back talking about personal on the feild and get away with it. inventory 7 out of 10 never available especialy during lighting season because to meet their end of year qouta they have to sell all there inventory back to TYCO to meet their qouta. Problem with that is you leave the techs with invemtory to repair systems same day causing customers to get angry or force personal to have a fire watch posted to protect building that could of been fixed the same day rather a week later when parts are mailed to customers home. Sales people try to make a quick buck and fail to give customer correct sysem or equipment making angry when techs come out there.

    Advice to Management

stop playing golf with customers and see how your emloyees are doing.
