I have been working at Tyco full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Pay, people, location and they have great culture. Promotions are promising and enjoyed my time there. They also have a good bonus program.

Cons

The downside to Tyco is that management does not communicate or listen well. But that is with any organization.

    Pros

Great benefits. Good products to sell. Good marketing information for customers.

    Cons

Low pay. Really they should revamp the monthly pay, I can make as much with unemplyoment and do away with the high stress. It is like a sweat shop ahmosphere, everyone is depressed because they have to worry where the next $ is going to come from. There is no teamwork, everyone is out for themselfs. I was told the first year I could make $70K, totally a lie. It is a shame but it explains the revolving door of people coming in and out. The good ones, leave quick.
Dont even get me started about after you finally book a job (90 days usually) all the crap you have to go through to get it installed and get your back end pay. It is a nightmare.

    Advice to Management

Raise the base pay so people can at least support a family without a second job. Make the commission easier to follow. Reward's should feel like a reward, I got a $5.00 commission one week. Very demotivating. Everyone should get paid on resales in thier territory, not just the resale guy.
