I have been working at U-Haul part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Slightly higher than minimum wage, flexible scheduling, access to interesting classes via U-Haul university, also generous discounts with various company.

Cons

Unless you are management, they will not allow anyone to work more than 25 hours a week. They would rather hire another person than give any current employees more than 25 hours.

Advice to Management

Allow advancement to full time.

    I worked at U-Haul full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Ability to travel, great cafe for employees, free turkey on thanksgiving, employee stock options

    Cons

Salary, ability to advance, favoritism amongst senior management

    Advice to Management

Management should provide annual reviews so employees know their strengths and weaknesses and areas to improve. Overall, I enjoyed my time with U-Haul, but at times for being such a well known company, it often feels like it is run like a small family business.
