I have been working at U.S. Cellular full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

This dynamic organization concentrates on delivering opportunities personal development. There is always something new to learn and accomplish. Leadership is transparent and supportive. Compensation is top tier. And, there is a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

    Cons

Like any large organizations, sometimes it takes a while to get the necessary approvals before moving forward with initiatives (mostly for good reasons).

"Good company, lots of hours, good benefits, but be prepared to go slow and be on call 24x7 for some positions."

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at U.S. Cellular full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Collaboration, benefits, made a lot of friends

    Cons

Slower pace, talks of interest in advancing technology but limited attention span to do true grass roots changes to make a difference. Felt there was more interest to cover your butt than take risks and make mistakes. Maybe too many YES people that slows down actual making progress. Pride in being a telecom "follower" which gets old if you want to be more progressive. 24x7 expectations.

    Advice to Management

Change up top executives, need new blood. Advance more women than just a token role. Listen beyond the org chart, many in lower positions have good ideas.
