          Pros

I work the Family Dollar account (delivering to and unloading at Family Dollar stores). My dispatch team/ fleet managers are amazing, super helpful, and very understanding when things go sideways. They've worked around my doctors appointments, made sure I was fairly compensated when I put my tractor in the shop, have extended wait times, detention, and just general incompetence of the stores I unloaded at, and they make sure I'm home for my home time. The trucks are well maintained, put in the shop any time they need maintenance without hesitation. The company has amazing insurance benefits and they care about their drivers.

          Cons

A lot of the stores I deliver to have a tendency to think they are my boss, they'll scold you for having to take a break (even when it's 105 degrees outside and you're overheating), they'll drag their feet while unloading and then blame the driver when it takes longer than scheduled to unload. Unloading is all done by hand, thousands of pieces of merchandise down rollers in your trailer. The people who load the trailers do a half-a$$ job and it results in piles of boxes falling from overhead while unloading and trailer doors getting stuck because boxes are fallen against from the inside. It's a lot of physical labor and it's dangerously hot in the summer time. Store managers can be extremely rude and unbearable. Most of the trailers are 20+ years old and need to be retired.

        Interview Tips

Feel free to post any interview questions you might be asked and I’ll help you compose an effective response :)

        Senior Graphic Designer

Hello all- I have a question. Context: I've completed a four-stage interview process for a design position at a large retail corp. The final interview on Nov 15 went very well! I sent thank-you notes that week and last holiday week sent flowers and an edible arrangement, thanking and asking about next steps. They said they have been busy + will reach out soon. It's almost been two weeks. They have been so eager the entire process and now it's quiet. Should I email them again? Is this normal?

For anyone who has ever gone through an interview process, only to be told at the end that the role is on hold (due to budget review or such) have you ever actually gotten reached out again with an update? It happened to me today so just wanting to see if it makes sense to just treat this as a rejection even if i was told there might be an update.

I have a curious question to ask. I'm working on a way to help people do better at their job interviews.  What would you say is the hardest part about taking a job interview? And what can make the experience easier?
