I worked at UBM full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The new office in Santa Monica is nice.

Cons

One business head has been complained about to HR several times (that I know of) and there were no consequences. That department had a 95% turnover in one year and still, no one looked into the problems.

Their products are outdated. Management is very political and has no vision. You're expected to work 14 hour days. A lot of the management is based in the UK and believes that Europeans know better. They don't understand that there are differences in what consumers want in the UK vs. the U.S.

I worked at UBM full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Highly collaborative, intelligent and dedicated colleagues surround you. Industry-leading brands and very loyal clients. Management takes smart risks, and are known for high levels of integrity and transparency.

    Cons

Semiconductors are a very highly cyclical and it makes for good years and bad years, in many cases you are dependent on the marketing budgets of the top 50 companies.

    Advice to Management

I hope the family feel remains. It makes for a wonderful place to work - and the teams work harder because they really do care about one another.
