I worked at UBS as an intern (More than a year)

Pros

Everyone was very friendly and helpful if you ran into problems

Cons

A little dull at times, not too much responsibility given

Advice to Management

Could be more engaging with interns and give them more to do

I worked at UBS as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

UBS is a global company with a lot of experienced staff with varied areas of expertise. I met a good number of smart people there from whom I learned a lot and still interact with to this very day.

    Cons

I feel like I had to go out of my way to get to meet with the higher ups. There was also not that much feedback and transparency on how progress on my work was viewed. I'm uncertain if this was matter of shear coincidence but a lot of people were getting laid off during my tenure there. A lot of employees also complained about the cultural change that came with 2008 financial crisis as UBS didn't exactly emerge unscathed from the debacle.

    Advice to Management

Please communicate more effectively with your subordinates. With more feedback, an employee can better gauge their performance
