Approves of CEO

I have been working at UBS full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great people, very international work environment. Very good graduate trainee program that gives you great exposure. Chances available to work abroad,
Better benefits (401k matches and vacation days) than most other companies.

Cons

Being loyal to the company doesn't pay off anymore. Horrible internal politics. Very difficult to move to other desks internally.
Compensation has been on the decline for years and has been very heavily impacted by trading losses and fines,

Advice to Management

Promote more from within instead of hiring expensive external people who only stick around for their guaranteed bonus.

I worked at UBS as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Bright and friendly colleagues. People just out of school with 1-2 years of experience willing to show the ropes to newbies

    Cons

They faced financial problems (as well known) and had to postpone our full-time offers only 2 months before we were supposed to start.

I worked at UBS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great 6-week global training program with all recent graduates (internationally).
Competitive post-undergraduate starting salary for the financial sector ($60K + $10K signing bonus).

    Cons

In addition to the constant layoffs, much of the best talent has voluntarily departed due to poor management and overall negative view for company future.

    Advice to Management

Lack of stable management together with poor choices in the tapping of new business heads and the promotion of individuals for bureaucratic reasons has resulted in even poorer business performance and the deterioration of the general work environment.
