I worked at UC San Francisco full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Benefits, but not sure if they are the same. Now may be tiered. Free wifi. Most people are nicer than corporate financial world, but still back-stab like San Francisco people do.

Cons

Not near BART, parking is terrible. Raises are hard to come by. The top range may be high, but you'll never see it.

I worked at UC San Francisco full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked with amazing and extremely intelligent people, so the standards were set relatively high from the beginning. This allowed me to grow and progress intellectually. My duties and responsibilities were diverse and challenging enough for me not to get bored.

    Cons

Due to the busy nature of my PI and my postdoctoral mentor, sometimes it was a bit confusing and difficult to carry out appropriate planning of experiments. This lead to wasting of materials and time.

    Advice to Management

A bit more efficient allocation of time.
