I worked at UPS full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

This company still has better benefits than most small organizations.

    Cons

All management in all departments micro-manage their groups and overburden employees with too many reports, recaps, reviews, meetings and anything else that doesn't help win the business!! It is only used to CYA the managers! If you mention it or disagree with their reasoning, you are targeted and removed as a disgruntled employee, regardless of your meeting goals! Early mornings to late nights...doing reports!!!! STRESS!!!! It is just NOT worth it?

    Advice to Management

Get rid of 75% of those crazy reports and re-focus on growing the business!!! You over-work everybody and spit them out when they slow down to catch their breath! What happened to life-work balance that you always talk about? I wish I could say that it was ever different, but it has always been this way! At least before the IPO, an employee could walk away from UPS with something to show for all they had sacrificed. How many managers and supervisors have been through divorces because of their responsibility to UPS? Life-work balance???
