I have been working at UPS part-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Good Pay, Great benefits, they pay your way through school, depending where in the country you work you will be a union employee when hired on.

Cons

Don't plan on ever having any time in December off, the pay starts low before it gets good (takes a year or two before the hours/pay combination doesn't hurt so bad) It's union for those who are anti-union. You pick vacation in order of seniority at the beginning of the year so you have to choose when you're going to take off before you can figure out what you'll do with that time off.

I worked at UPS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

UPS pays their people really poorlys

They made you sign expense reports in black ink

    Advice to Management

Promote or hire smart people, not high-scool grads that have 20 years of service

I worked at UPS part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As one of the largest companies in the world, the benefits they are able to negotiate are incredible. They also have paid sick and vacation days.

    Cons

The management is very hard on the employees. It is only part-time, takes years to get a full time position. The shift hours are difficult. It can also be hard on your body.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and show them some appreciation. It works better.
