I worked at UPS part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

as a seasonal driver helper, you get to work-out and get paid w/o having to go to the gym...a good route with a good driver can make all the difference

Cons

higher wages would be nice...inflation is catching up!

Advice to Management

it wouldn't hurt the company's bottom line to just slightly increase seasonal driver helpers

I have been working at UPS part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Part time work, good money, and so many different positions for a career. I love how there's so many advancement opportunities as well.

    Cons

Not really anything I could complain about. It is very PHYSICAL work though.

I have been working at UPS full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

UPS is a promotion from within company so even though you may start out as a pt package handler if you are ambitious and career minded the opportunities for advancement will be there. Full time drivers are the best paid in the industry and full time management get yearly stock options on top of a very competitive salary. Part time package handlers get full time benefits at no cost. Some UPS locations offer tuition assistance.

    Cons

Part time package handle wages are very low but are offset by the full time benefit package they receive. Work hours for both full time drivers and full time management are very long often reaching 60+ hours a week for management.

    Advice to Management

Improve workplace flexibility especially for operations management people. Increase wages or offer bonuses to those in entry level positions.
