I have been working at UPS part-time (More than a year)

Pros

The good things about working at ups is that they have fantastic benefits after you have worked there over a year. Also if you are a student, they have a program called metro college, were they pay your entire school tuition. Also they do have some pretty nice and cool people working with you. To be honest if it wasn't for them paying tuition I would rate this job a 1 star.

Cons

The cons can go on almost forever. First and formost, the pay is horrific! During the non-peak seasons. Expect to make a maximum of $140-180 a week for your first couple years. That's mostly due that ups wants you to work the least amount of hours possible. After listening in to some supervisors conversations. The less hours they give there employees, the bigger the raise that supervisor will get. Secoun, the work is hard and boring. Expect to lift heavy packages and get bombarded with bulk shipments. For the 3-4 hours you work a day. It feels like you have worked 5-7 hours.

Advice to Management

DONT BE SO STINGY WITH GIVING US HOURS!
