I worked at US Agency for International Development full-time

Pros

As an intern, housing is provided and they provide transport to/from work. Lovely people.

Cons

It's sometimes difficult for interns to get time or attention because the regular workers are so busy.

Advice to Management

You're doing amazing work. Keep it up.

I work in Global Health, and the leadership of my Office has been outstanding.

It is nearly impossible to be converted to a direct hire. Nearly everyone is some form of hiring mechanism.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at US Agency for International Development as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked with great people and did very interesting work. I had a lot of responsibility and it fueled my passion for international development.

    Cons

It's very hard to transition from an internship to a full-time position. This may have just been in the bureau I was working in, because I know that interns in other bureaus had more success than the interns in mine.
