I have been working at US Air Force full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Working with great airmen concerned with mission accomplishment first! Serving my country.
Great opportunities for education through tuition assistance and on the job training. Leadership opportunities are only bounded by yourself. Diverse career opportunities, worldwide travel, immersion in foreign cultures and unique job skills are all everyday events in the Air Force.

    Cons

Promotion is inversely proportional to technical technical knowledge, skills or leadership.

    Advice to Management

Promote based on leadership, technical knowledge

I have been working at US Air Force full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Travel, education benefits, health benefits are good. If you are fresh out of high school and undecided on what to do with your life, it is a great choice to gain some direction in your life.

    Cons

Hard on family life. Promotion system needs to be completely revamped. Health care is not always in the best interest of the military member. The military is being less run like the military and more like a corporation.
