I have been working at US Air Force full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The United States Air Force is rewarding and can assist you in both personal and professional growth. Education benefits are unmatched and free health care for your service is also a plus.

    Cons

The war on terrorism is very real and many of the side affects of war can lead to life long battles in combat vets. However, we do sign up for our jobs and swear to protect and serve the country.

    Advice to Management

Continue to assist service members/vets with all resources as the job it self is extremely stressful and taxing on both members and family.

I worked at US Air Force full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits for you and your family, secure steady pay, opportunity for advancement

    Cons

Potentially long hours, separation away from family/home. Lack of independent review of performance (supervisors determine the quality of performance not USAF standards)

    Advice to Management

Completely rebuild the way personnel, especially enlisted personnel, are evaluated by immediate supervisors or mid level supervisors. Make standards of performance service wide and AFSC wide, not based on what the supervisors believe are the standard.
