I have been working at US Air Force full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Many outstanding opportunities and experiences. Pay is great...Base Pay, Housing Allowance, other bonuses, etc. Super opportunity for promotion and advancement. Best branch of service out of the five (Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard). Air force has the best Quality of Life. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely join the Air Force. No regrets!

Cons

If you do not like to travel and move around a lot.

Advice to Management

Keep doing what your are doing. Continue to listen to Airmen's feedback to continue making improvements.

I have been working at US Air Force full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Practically unlimited potential, excellent benefits and retirement, travel and cultural opportunities, being part of a tight-knit community even after leaving the service, excellent safety net

    Cons

Not every supervisor should be in their position, promotion at higher levels can be political, really (really) terrible physical training uniforms, promotion selection can be hinged to one's job specialty

    Advice to Management

Don't be afraid to adhere to performance standards.

I have been working at US Air Force full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Once you have been in a while the pay is decent. The benefits stat from day one; even someone in for only a year, gets 30 days of paid leave (vacation time).

    Cons

You have only a small say in where you are stationed. You can select your choices and if one has an opening, you can get the assignment. However, you can also get the place you want the least. If you are willing to make the most of it, it wont be all bad.

    Advice to Management

Don't micro-manage. In the Air Force, you were at the bottom once and I'm sure you remember what it was like. Try to do better than the leaders you had, and things will be just fine.
