Pros

Multitudes of projects. Provides opportunity all over the world.

Cons

Work skills developed per contract administration is very unique due to the fact that it's a federal government agency.

    Approves of CEO

I have been working at US Army Corps of Engineers full-time

    Pros

The work is challenging and rewarding, projects are done either for the military or are civil works projects that help the community. There is a structured pay scale, so advancement is known (if you perform your job in a satisfactory manner.) There are training opportunities that allow you to advance your knowledge and move into other work areas and other locations. The benefits are very good with insurance, retirement and separate individual retirement account (thrift savings.)

    Cons

As a Government agency, your work is dictated by Congress and you can have projects cancelled or put on hold depending on the situation in Washington. Professional occupation fields tend to make a little less than the private sector counterparts, administrative support occupations tend to make the same or a bit more than the private sector.
