I have been working at US Army (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    You get to:

    -Fight for what is right.
    -Protect those you love.
    -Serve your country.
    - AND get valuable training for other careers should you ever choose to get out.

    Cons

The US Army is also a huge organization. With that comes bureaucracy and politics. As with most anywhere, you will deal with some inept people and will at times be greatly frustrated. It is a hard life, made harder by the commitment it requires over all other priorities.

I worked at US Army full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Working with soldiers and being their Mentor. Working with information technology equipment in both a garrison and deployed environment.

    Cons

The hours and being away from my family while deployed. Army politics as it were and being in a 'Staff' position in a battalion or higher.

    Advice to Management

Trust Chief...always. Chief's guesses are better than anyone else's facts.
