I have been working at US Army full-time

Pros

Free health care, housing, tax break, free college, stay in shape, learn all kinds of different jobs, promotions, free/remibursment of work related travel, cost of living is added to your pay.

Cons

Lower enlisted gets all the "not so pleasan" jobs. Overtime does not mean you get paid more. 24 hour shifts. Article 15s means your pay gets lowered and you get sent on extra duty, doing jobs that don't need to be done.

I have been working at US Army full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits such as medical, dental and housing allowance. No different than any other armed forces. Advancement based on drive and motivation. Free college tuition. Chances for marketable skills in the aviation community.

    Cons

Takes a strong family life to deal with frequent deployments. Some of the older on post housing is substandard and all of the BAH will still be taken.

    Advice to Management

Positively mentor younger Soldiers and help them prepare for future advancement.
