    On call 247, work over 12 hrs a day, Separation from family and loved ones.

    Pros

    Great responsibilities and management experience.
    Great benefits, especially at 20 year retirement.
    Opportunities to see many different global locations.
    Job security.

    Cons

    Poor human resources services specifically for Officers.
    Long term deployments interfere with normal family life.
    Many subpar officers take "the easy way out" by staying in until retirement.

    Advice to Management

    Get better human resourcing to encourage GOOD Officers to move around and stay in.
