I have been working at US Army full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very diverse enviroment and a structure that allows you to grow and become a leader no matter what rank you start at. It also gives you many opportunities that you would never get in a civilian occupation because they either cannot afford it or they are unwilling. Higher education is basically given to you if you are smart enough to take it and there is plenty of room to climb up the ladder.

    Cons

The last few years of ongoing conflict have meant that we needed more and more Soldiers to do the job. Some of these Soldiers are not able to meet the Army standard and this is something that is pervassive among all ranks. It will be interesting to see what the next few years will do to the Army.
