No opinion of CEO

I have been working at US Army full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Unlimited challenges and opportunities: World travel; Education opportunities; Make friends and contacts from across the country and around the world; Decent pay and benefits (medical, dental and vision); Good retirement plan (currently but that could change); Tremendous support services - commissary, PX, Family Support, child care, morale welfare and recreation facilities and services; etc

Cons

On call 24/7/365
Sometimes very long hours in unfriendly places
Missed special occasions - holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, etc

Advice to Management

Stop the senseless and unnecessary changes.

I have been working at US Army full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, retirement, and alloted time to work out

    Cons

    Pay
    Work load
Little to no upward movement as a civilian

    Advice to Management

Properly staff your units, don't just allow positions to go vacant for years at a time. Properly compensate your civilian workforce, don't expect them to work overtime and not offer them the option of being paid for that time. The stringent conditions of employment make it extremely to get promoted as a Soldier and as a Civilian.

I have been working at US Army full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They pay for all your necessities. Great perks, benefits, experience, friendships, lifestyle, pay is good, constant promotions + raises, etc etc...

    Cons

Hurry up and wait, only cover necessities, normally the army goes cheap + mass production so don't expect to be an individual until taking on some rank, subjective rating scales.

    Advice to Management
