I have been working at US Army part-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

New and exiting places to go. It is a great career boost. It helps you get jobs you never knew you could.

Cons

You have to go to some places you don't want to go sometimes. The government owns you. Sometimes you have to deal with a sergeant or officer above you even if you don't want to.

I worked at US Army full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The army has great benefits good pay if you are married with kids ok assistance for tuition. If you combine it with a poll grant you will good. Lots of time off and steady income

    Cons

Can be tumultuous if you end up with a bad command. If you end up with a competent command you will love the army. It all depends you don't work more than anyone else in the country for the perks you get however the deployments and the toll on your body and health from training are are brutal

    Advice to Management

Find a better more comprehensive way to promote your staff. The current system is flawed

I worked at US Army part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Rarely work weekends, always something interesting goes on everyday that you are in the army. Got to travel and see different parts of the world.

    Cons

Not very family friendly, could be gone 9-12 months out of year, Sometime may have to deal with other peoples problems that do not pertain to you.

    Advice to Management

Some how management needs to get on one accord to inform their subordinates of pertinent information in a timely manner in order to get a task/ job done.
