Pros

Fulfilling work, great people, common sense environment

Cons

Bureaucracy - constantly playing the middleman in a tug of war over on Capitol Hill. It hinders one's ability to accomplish the work that he/she loves

I have been working at US Army full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

You have the opportunity to excel even if you come from absolutely nothing. Started my career as a private and now I'm a Captain. Entered with no college now have bachelors and masters degree.

    Cons

The AMEDD eats their young. You are worked like a dog. No admin time given. PAs are over strength resulting in few opportunities for advancement beyond CPT.

    Advice to Management

Too much moving and turn over of senior leadership in medical facilities. Too much running of this business through emails when most providers in a military healthcare facility don't have time to even read emails.
