    Pros

The best thing about serving in the Army is the friendships and exciting travel to exotic places.

    Cons

The work load was pretty demanding while the pay remained low.

    Advice to Management

Institute more education opportunities for the enlisted men, like you have for the officers.

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at US Army full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Has a good benefits and compensation package. Generous leave policy. Provides structure and financial stability that is very good for families. Organization supports diversity in theory.

    Cons

Often very poor work/life balance. Very little choice in where you work and when you are forced to relocate. Lots of inefficiency in day to day operations. Work schedule can be unpredictable with very long hours on short notice. Common personal values within the organization are mostly socially, religiously, and politically very conservative.
