Pros

Diversity and the opportunity to use the latest technology. Ability to learn your leadership skills at lowest level.

Cons

Relocating every three years can be difficult for the family structure.

Advice to Management

Do not be timid to try to find more efficient ways to get things done.

    Pros

    You learn life long concepts to live by: Honesty, integrity, leadership, loyalty, duty, personal courage
    The military covers housing, health, dental, life insurance, cost of living allowances, clothing allowances, etc.
    Military officers are well compensated. If you are smart and a go-getter, you can move from enlisted to officer fairly easily.
    Get to see the world and live in interesting places.

    Cons

    The military is downsizing - a lot
    hazardous
    moving to places you don't want to live

    Advice to Management

    don't shred the forces to below pre-war levels. we will not be able to keep winning.

    I worked at US Army full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Variety of opportunities: It was possible to work within numerous disciplines. Also, education benefits were generally good. Also, the job was reliable with regard to employment - when the facility closed, other similar jobs elsewhere were offered.
    Also, good opportunity to observe many firms' processes and procedures.

    Cons

    Politics - i.e. national and international affairs affected budgets and priorities of programs as well as personnel reviews and bonuses. Innovation was often stifled based on political interests.

    Advice to Management

    Nor Applicable -The facility no longer exists.
