    Pros

    Benefits are well above whats deserved for most MOS. You can go in with absolutely 0 marketable skills and have everything you need paid for, a unmatched retirement plan and a solid wage.

    Cons

    Army culture it's trying to catch up and comes across as heavy handed anti male, white and conservative in the latest power point presentations on extremism. I understand why, but forcing everyone to go through it then have a struggle session in smaller groups isn't the answer. The army somehow manages to come up with the weirdest diversity training known to man. It never seems to accomplish its goal and just results in soldiers rolling their eyes. On a non cultural note, the job can destroy your body and mind if you get the wrong unit. The cool guy jobs will wind up obliterating your knees and back before you hit 30. Conversely you can wind up working in a small unit that doesn't do group pt and fitness is left to the individual.
