I have been working at US Bureau of Land Management full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Its a great place to start if you are a GIS Specialist. I'll have plenty of room to grow and can really go places.
If you were in the Active Duty Service you can add those years to your overall work years.
Great pay!

Cons

Getting in could be a little tricky.
UNFORTUNATLY ALL their jobs/Positions are WEST of the Mississippi. It will suck if you cant pack up and move out West. :/

Advice to Management

Keep doing a good job and don't hesitate to aid/give tips to you newly added Staff. They'll thank you!!! :)

I worked at US Bureau of Land Management full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I liked the work , the hours and flexibility. Like I have mentioned, you can learn a lot about the oil and gas drilling and geology.

    Cons

Biggest challenge and reason why I no longer work their was the pay. This is an expensive area and you could not make ends meet. They did not have a COL increase for this area.

    Advice to Management

Look at the area and make it attractive to people to work their.
