I worked at US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims

    Pros

Great people which mostly depends on the Judge you clerk for and his/her chamber's staff. Just fyi, I clerked long before 2014 but that was the closest option for "last year at employer." Also great experience and training as far as legal research and developing experience with administrative law.

    Cons

Some of the work is mundane and repetitive as the appellant's have the ability to appeal when they really have no basis for their claim... for e.g. they were never in the military or the spouse/dependent of a veteran...

I have been working at US Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Judges are friendly and approachable, salaries are competitive, IT support is outstanding, you can be an attorney here and still maintain a good work/life balance

    Cons

Staff has to pay for Christmas parties and a summer picnic. I'm stretching here, but I needed to add a con.
