    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Washington, DC is very network orientated and time at Justice will permit you to enter into that network and prove yourself. It's really all about getting your foot in the door and then having the chance to prove yourself there.

    Cons

As with any government agency there will be employees there who in the private sector, most likely wouldn't be. Being patient and okay with drawn-out processes because of the required "necessary steps" can be trying, but is a must with the job.

    Advice to Management

Government employee leadership is generally very solid. They are there because they deserve to be. As far as political appointees, it can be a mixed bag.

    Pros

SDNY has a deservedly strong legal reputation, but it should also be known as a great place to work. Despite the incredible intellectual talents of all the staff, egos are generally small and the intra-office dynamic is supportive and fun. The cases offer exceptional access to cutting edge law.

    Cons

Salaries are relatively small compared to private sector peers. Hours can be excessive. Attempting the LSAT while on trial is nearly impossible.

    Advice to Management

Management at SDNY is great. The only advice would be to have a structure program of attorney's speaking about their experience in the field and about the law school application process.
