    Positive Outlook

I have been working at US Department of Veterans Affairs part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Because it is fairly small, it is a close knit group of employees. This makes people more likely to try and get along with each other. Taking care of American veterans is a rewarding opportunity.

    Cons

It is socialized medicine. This is a double edged sword since it means that people will typically get all the treatments they need, it also means that providers may be wasteful with diagnostics. There is a sense of non-urgency too often.

    Advice to Management

Help staff understand what things cost so we can better choose between our options for treatments.
