I have been working at US Department of Veterans Affairs full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The hours are great and always something to do. Working with the people there makes it worth to keep the job.

    Cons

Well you will always seem to get that loud mouth person who no body wants to work with. And you tell him/she boy you really don't look well and hoping they go HOME.

    Advice to Management

They are the most respectful towards their employees. Thats all I have to say.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Paid fairly well, holidays off, time to spend with my family when needed and hopefully an opportunity to advance but in order to get that advance I have to leave this organization

    Cons

Lazy worthless supervisor who plays the race card and believes that going the EEO route is the road to retirement. Slothful employees who are NOT veterans and could care less about veterans. Employees refer to them as pieces of Sh*t and could care less about doing the right thing for them. Had I known what these employees were like I would have never taken this position. The supervisors lie to their employees and have poisoned the work environment creating fear and worry in order to keep their meager control.

    Advice to Management

Fire the people that have ruined this organization and do not worry if this person or that person was fired on your watch. I don't give a crap of you're retiring in 2 years Director, you need to do the right thing
