    The VA has good pay, good benefits and opportunities for training. After the probation period, job stability is also pretty good.

    Cons

    Excessive paperwork and bureaucracy can be a real headache and often gets in the way of getting projects completed in a timely manner.

    The projects of building hospitals and clinics for our veterans is a very rewarding job.

    VA Central Office has relegated the technological support of the Resident Engineer Offices to the nearest VA Medical Center.

    Advice to Management

    Provide more support to the Resident Engineer's Offices.
