Pros

Flexible schedules
Most people are friendly
Salary above minimum wage

Cons

Supervisors failed to solve staffing problems and issues in reasonable time
Very little accountability for bad performance
Hospital holds onto bad employees instead of letting them go
Felt like good workers go unrecognized, but are given more work to make up for the failings of other employees
Nepotism in hiring of some positions

Advice to Management

Figure out who the good employees are and give them a reason to stay
Figure out who the low performing, problematic employees are and get rid of them
Management should take more control to solve everyday problems that linger on

    Pros

Regular hours, job stability, OK benefits

    Cons

Management only cares about themselves and not their employees, complete lack of accountability, lack of recognition for a job well done, very few prospects for job growth and professional development, unwillingness to get rid of people that make little or no contribution, low salaries compared to industry

    Advice to Management

Make people accountable for their jobs, get rid of managers that only care about furthering their own agendas to the detriment of the organization, recognize employees that do exemplary work via promotions and bonuses, encourage employee development, lose the dead weight employees, pay salaries that are more comparable to industry

    Pros

Good benefits especially if you are a veteran. They count your active military time towards retirement and also sick days and vacation days.

    Cons

They play favoritism when it comes to promoting at least at my VA. If you do not belong to the good ole boys club then you might as well forget a promotion. They do not follow the rules at all when it comes to working and getting jobs.

    Advice to Management

Grow a pair and get your managers in check. The HR dept does what it feels and doesnt not follow protocall
