I have been working at US Jesco full-time (More than a year)

Pros

A base pay plus commission gives me a stable income, but lets me control my paycheck. Flexible Scheduling, advancement opportunities and the ability to travel has made the last two years incredibly interesting. I've met amazing people and overcome my fear of public speaking.

Cons

Commute times can be rough, but then again, it's Chicago. It's a sales job, so it can occasionally be frustrating.

I have been working at US Jesco part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I was able to earn a small income while I was also working on my career doing voice overs.
I got along with a lot of the people that also worked the job
Did some traveling that got me to places I heard about but had never been to
Got a chance to do extra work for a couple extra dollars

    Cons

The job is not as easy as they tell you it is
The managers can't even do the job
I couldn't sell so they made me a production driver until they fired me for no reason at all
I saw a lot of dirty moves by management

They do treat their people like dirt when the job can't be done. They expect you to make their money for them so if you don't you are pretty much done for.

The management gets a base pay plus commission from what you sell problem is you do all of the travel in your own car, you spend all of the time in the stores while they sit in the company condo all day and when they need to go somewhere they use the company vehicle so if they spend any money on gas they are reimbursed so there is no risk on their end

    Advice to Management

    Figure something out

I have been working at US Jesco as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

You start with some money. They make you feel like this is not only the job you want but the job you need!

    The training was okay.

As long as you have the money to do so you can go out of town and still work

You can request what days you want to work

    Cons

I don't know about anyone else but I see that they lie a lot.
You take care of your own travel
You do everything on your own and all they can do to make up for it is advise you write it off in your taxes. I mean wow can I at least use the company condo for free? No we have to pay for that too that's if the managers don't take up all of the rooms

You pay for everything, you do all of the work and they get most of the pay. You only get 15% of your sales for your first 45 shows then it's only 20% but they make you pay for anything returned. They say they have to make it up somewhere but they take most of the money and make you eat all of the cost

If you feel like the job is not for you, you can't just quit you have to give two weeks notice and stay there or they take your money that you have already earned.

The managers say they support you but only time they answer calls, text, or email is when they feel like they want to. When they want something for you and can't get in touch with you they then threaten you with a $500 fine to scare you into not doing to them what they do to you.

The stores you are sent to are over worked
Those announcements you have to make get on the nerves of the people working there which makes you uncomfortable because they look at you like they are tired of you...They're just tired of the company

You spend a lot of hours in those stores. Not good cause if you don't sell you have wasted your time cause there is no base pay

If you call for help it doesn't matter who you call you will get the same answer. It's like they have a script that tells them what to say

These people will lie to you that's their job they were trained to lie to make people think they want the worthless product they are selling and when they master that they are bumped up so they can lie to you about you wanting that job so they can train you to lie to the public

    Advice to Management

I don't know what to say to you guys. I don't see you changing your ways anytime soon
