Pros

The camaraderie and brotherhood that one experiences is here unparalleled. I have met friends for life from all over the earth; an opportunity I would never have had if I had remained a civilian.

Cons

The current administration is eager to please congressional mandates. In doing so, many Marines are feeling the brunt of injustice and inconsistant management for the sake of the leadership saying "Look, we reduced our numbers ahead of schedule". While there are creative and lucrative incentives to assit these young Marines in getting out early, there is a vast majority that are having their personal records tarnished simply because it is much easier to get rid of them through legal or administrative proceedings and deny them the benefits that are owed to them for giving up their youth.

Advice to Management

Stay for the friendships and battles, leave once you had your fill.
