    Pros

Good pay and benefits for Officers

    Cons

Deployments, lack of control over life decisions

    Advice to Management

Give bonuses to keep good leaders. Current bonus structures for field grade officers gives bonuses to good people getting out, therefore, the field grade that stay in are the ones that know they can't succeed on the outside and become terrible leaders. With downsizing it is the perfect time to trim the fat and reward your successful officers with bonuses to stay in not get out. In aviation you have a very few (10%) of your pilots that are WTIs and department heads doing 90% of the work, those are typically your more qualified and important officers yet there is no bonus structure or benefit to those positions other than the pride which luckily those officers typically have. Hope they don't all get out.
