Great job qualifications, and leadership skills, and life lessons to take to the grave

Cons

really hard to have or keep a family if your not already strong enough financially or mentally.

    I worked at US National Guard full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Brother/sisterhood. You really develop a close tie to your workplace, everyone ends up being your family.
    The people are awesome.
    The Job is exciting and fun.

    Cons

    Deployments are every few years and last a year. They can be tedious and dangerous.
    You do not get a choice of who you work with.
    The pay is decent but could be much better.
    You can not ask for a raise.
