Pros
Joining the U.S. Navy can provide opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, job training, education benefits, travel experiences, and a sense of service to your country. It offers a chance to be part of a disciplined and highly skilled team while gaining valuable skills that can benefit both military and civilian careers.
Cons
Negatives of joining the U.S. Navy may include the challenges of a demanding and potentially hazardous job, long periods away from family, strict discipline, and the possibility of deployment to conflict zones. It's important to consider the commitment required and the impact on work-life balance. Individual experiences can vary, so careful consideration of personal priorities and goals is crucial.

Pros
Education. 30-days vacation a year. Full healthcare.
Cons
Long hours. Billets/orders posted without family. Military Law is federal law, and does not always coincide with local law for specific occurrences. Evaluation system is broken at peer-group level and does not factor hours worked vs. other occupational peers (i.e.- individual working a 72hr. workweek in outside-element conditions is expected to still meet same criteria as individual working 40hr. workweek in environmentally controlled office spaces with computer access for evaluation purposes; college education, extracurricular training, volunteering, inter-military functions make you stand out, but the work/life balance can make it incredibly difficult).
