Pros

Great folks; STRATCOM boasts a large retired military community with widely varied experiences. Not a day goes by when you don't learn something.

Cons

Frequent turnover at the 2/3/4-Star level. Rapid changes in plans, policy and administrative details. 4-stars come here to die...and want to leave their legacy.

Advice to Management

"it 'aint broken."

Many dedicated people doing important missions. Descent work environment. Talented people.

    Cons

Some units are working very hard and are under manned. Other units have too much free time.

    Advice to Management

Upper and middle management must allocate resources to where the work is.

  2. "The work is very important but very difficult standing up a command with very limited resources."

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

The USG and DoD needs this command. It has important work everyday support the warfighter and the national priorities.

    Cons

Too many Chiefs and not enough indians, resources are not to the level required for this important mission. It lacks its own building and has a too many constraints for doing its mission.

    Advice to Management

Slow down, prioritize and say thank you...lead by example.
