The staff was very nice and told me a painful truth about the owners.
Cons
The owners are out of NY. They purchased the well established business which has been a 30 year fixture in my town. They hired me knowing I wanted to work in my town and did not want the long commutes anymore. I was very clear about this on my resume and it was the first thing I said in my interview. I was willing to take less pay to skip the long commutes and gain family time. On my first day I said how happy I was to have my dream job in my town and on the 4th day I found out through the grape they bought a building and were moving the business to another town making it over an hour commute. Every one knew but me. Ouch. Yeah and I'm pretty sure they don't give a damn about the better job I gave up, or the bills I need to pay either.
