Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Unilever as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Flexible company, pays interns fairly, large company for lots of networking

Cons

Micro-managing boss, projects for interns are bogus and can be extremely difficult... even for full time staff

Advice to Management

You guys need less interns. Seems like you just pack everyone in for no reason. The projects I received had no deliverables and provided me with hardly any learning experiences except bite your tongue when your boss tells you that youre wrong, even when you're quoting them.

I have been working at Unilever full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good people.
    Work-life balance and flexible hours
    Half Day Summer Friday's
Genuine attempt by Leadership to communicate often with the employees.
    Good pay
    Nice office space
Well known brands in food and personal care and reduced price merchandise from the company store is a nice touch

    Cons

New kids out of business school every year in Brand Management purpotedly to be "digitally relevant". Most do not know how business works and has barely any knowledge of who does what within the organization. Lots of churn.

Agile working environment - like a call center. Be ready to plug and play wherever. Keep your pictures, trophies and plaques at home.

    Pros

Decent pa, especially if you're hired from outside the company. Lots of opportunities if you're willing to take on extra projects and play the right game with management.

    Cons

Horrible change management. Insufficient training, low employee morale, struggling to satisfy too many objectives with poor up-front preparation results in extra burden on employees.
