I worked at Unilever full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Complex products and a full spectrum supply chain makes the training the best in the world.

    Cons

Despite all the programs and talk they do not truly value the employee. Manage your career and if you are not progressing, get out.

I worked at Unilever as an intern

    Pros

    company store!
    coworkers were honest and helpful
    great cafeteria
lots of opportunities to talk to higher management
    beautiful work environment

    Cons

very inefficient- people often don't know what others' projects have been, lots of repetition of projects that have been completed elsewhere.
people tend to overload on projects to feel busy, rather than completing 4-5 projects thoroughly, they rush through 11-12 at a time. it's not productive, and there are often large holes in the reasoning.
not much technical knowledge necessary- doesn't feel intellectually stimulating

    Advice to Management

consolidate research findings- perhaps online. it is really frustrating to have to find out who did what before you.
train all people on DOE at on-boarding if relevant to their jobs. make sure people's backgrounds properly align with the jobs they are holding.
