Pros

Good benefits plan, subsidized gym, bus pass.

Cons

Revolving door staff, and management. Not much room for advancement, no HR department, bullying , years and years without a raise or acknowledgement. Friends and family get hired and given better salaries over long term staff who worked there for years. The CEO John Dobson would confiscate employee's chairs, ridicule and impugn other managers and staff and even referred to a middle eastern employee as a "Mexican" in front of the entire staff. Office politics and endless power struggles make this a stressful place to work.

Thank you for your feedback. Although you just posted this email, you obviously haven't worked at Uniserve for a long time. Our team of staff has tripled, we have had a new CEO, Nicholas Jefferey, since February, we do have an HR department, we have monthly reviews, feedback boards, share incentives, and the company just reported record year- end results. So thanks again, and please come by and meet the team anytime. Mark Stanton Director of Marketing

Pros

Excellent environment, great professionals and high level of leadership.

Cons

It would be great if there was a higher investment on the training and development areas.

Pros

If you are a hard working individual, you will be able to easily climb the tech ladder in this company. If you know your content, you can get exposure that normally wouldn't be available to you at other companies. Forged some very close friendships while working here. Frequent turnover often leaves room for promotions (usually without a pay increase though).

Cons

Very top heavy company. Had several managers and team leads, not very many skilled technical workers on staff during my tenure to actually perform the work. This caused all sorts of problems with staffing and meeting customer demands. Worked 60 hour work weeks on the regular. Very high turnover. Low salary, possibly around 60% of market rate. Shady business practices at the executive level. Majority shareholder influences the company heavily (and not necessarily for the best reasons). High stress levels due to frequently irate customers. Pretty sure there was stock manipulation and insider trading performed by Executive staff which sadly effected employees that were offered options in the company.
