    Approves of CEO

I have been working at United Airlines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay, but the benefits are excellent!
Health, 401k, bonus, profit sharing, flight benefits
Things are changing so the opportunity for advancement is always open
Lots of focus on employee recognition
A very strong focus on working together and creating a positive work environment
Opportunity to work with an airline that is looking towards the future of how to sustain a profit instead of the boom-bust cycle of the past

    Cons

Some of the internal processes make no sense (but they are trying to improve)
Some upper management is still sour about the past
Some of the employees refuse to accept the merger (we are merged, get over it...it isn't going to change)
Flying stand by can be challenging due to the size of the company and all of the employees wanting to travel

    Advice to Management

Keep going, the merger is tough but it is getting better. Do something about flight upgrades....how special can a member feel when there are 68 people on an upgrade list? Upgrade the TRUE elites.
