Flying heavies around the world is probably one of the best gigs out there; sure, you can always do with better pay, more days off, and better work rules, but when it's all said and done, ALPA and United Airlines management have gone a long way to make this profession safe, profitable and enjoyable.
Cons
Like many big companies, United is no different in its push to educate its workforce with respect to societal trends of inclusivity and diversity such that the demands of the few have overridden the concerns of the many which have led to questions regarding the real value of an individual's professional competency versus the value of an individual's emotional state of mind.
