I worked at United Natural Foods full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Excellent benefits. Non-management associates were a delight to work with. Eco-friendly facilities.

Cons

Management preaches work/home balance but you are expected to work at least 12 hours a day. After working a 20 hour day was reprimanded for only working a 12 hour shift the next day instead of working longer. Once the Lancaster facility was up and running the original management team was replaced with UNFI management from other facilities. Lots of lies and backstabbing.

Advice to Management

UNFI has the potential to be a very good company but senior management needs to be replaced. Too much of a buddy system going on. If you speak truthfully you are reprimanded or fired. How can a business be successful practicing that?
